Tonight's brew is Malheur, a nice rich Belgian ale brewed by De Landtsheer brewery in Belgium. It boasts a 10% ABV, which we all know I'm a fan of, and it has a nice flavor and mouth feel that I also find appealing. I'm feeling that this brew would go well with a lasagna or something in that rich, buttery Italian genre of foods. I had mine on the couch in front of the TV, after pizza, it was cheap pizza, and I wish it had been a better variety in order that it paired better with this tasty beverage.
I believe I paid about $10 for the 4 pack at Specs, which makes it a bit on the high side for a daily drinker, but definitely a beer that you would want to have around to serve guests, or for an occasional pairing with a nice diner.
I'll buy Malheur again on my next trip, and keep it in the stash, ready for a good meal.
