Last Day on the Old Job

Yesterday was my last day with Perficient, going back to Whiteblox, feeling good about the move.  I'll miss some of the folks at my last gig, there are some I won't, but that's just the way it goes in a big company.  But now it's on to bigger and better things, getting back into the world of online entertainment and media.  Wooo!

For those of you who are not in the know, Whiteblox is a startup company based out of The Woodlands, Tx, which offers some pretty sweet products and services to their customers in the way of delivering online audio and video.  They can help you to setup a whole network of live and recorded programming, let you broadcast it free, supported by ads, or even pay per view online.  It's some pretty cool stuff.  I'm really excited about the move.

Writing software for a high energy startup is always more exciting than the world of defense contracts, rigid software requirements, and bean counters costing the value per hour that you provide.  There is an outlet for inginuity and creativity that you don't really find in insurance and banking environments.  I'm totally stoked to be doing this stuff.  It's gonna be a good time.
