I'm looking at my Google Analytics stats for this site and realize that I get about 8 to 12 visitors a day. If I check the site once from home, and then look at it again once at work, that means that I comprise 20% of my readership.
So why do I do this? Good question. Ego? Practice with my writing? Because I always have, even back when having 12 readers was considered good? I just don't know.
Some folks would say that I need to do it to promote the Hank Lynch brand. Is there a Hank Lynch brand? Ego says yes, common sense snickers like a little school girl. There is no Hank Lynch brand.
Maybe to share my vast knowledge of software development? I'm going to guess that out of the other 6-8 people out there that stumble on this page....I probably know most of you. We share over the phone and face to face, and I loath writing code samples and silly articles. There are plenty, I don't need to add to the clutter. Besides, I'm much more entertaining in person.
So why DO I do this then? To be honest, I havn't got the foggiest.
